Many households and businesses face the same question: which appliances account for the largest share of their energy consumption? In one of our recent projects, we addressed this issue by installing a Shelly Pro 3EM energy monitoring system.
The Shelly Pro 3EM measures energy consumption across three phases and transmits the data to the user in real time. With the system’s help, it is possible to identify which appliances, electrical circuits or areas of the property have the highest energy demand.
The installation took only a few hours. Afterwards, the customer was able to view detailed consumption data on both a mobile phone and a computer.
Based on the first month’s data, several consumption patterns were identified. Optimising these patterns can result in significant energy savings. The system is particularly useful for customers who already have a solar panel system and want to maximise their use of self-generated energy.
Shelly solutions provide an excellent foundation for intelligent energy monitoring and the development of smart home systems.
